North Wales - September 2018 - Elan Valley

I always leave Barmouth feeling sad, but know we'll be back at some point.

From Barmouth we were heading south to another guest house for 1 night in between Aberaeron and New Quay but I had wanted to re-visit the Elan Valley since camping there 4 years ago, so we decided to do it 'on the way'.

Once we arrived we stopped off at the visitor centre for a coffee before driving around and stopping off at each individual reservoir.  Due to the heatwave, that all enjoyed during the summer this year, water levels were well down.

Heading towards our destination for the evening we followed the 'mountain road' to Aberystwyth on the way out of the Elan Valley.  Another stunning road where we came across 'The Arch' where we stopped for a short walk and to enjoy the view.
